For Beginners and Additional Information

For those new to cannabis edibles and making your own, there are a few things to know to make the experience more enjoyable.

Cannabis effects everyone a little different. Even the same amount of the same edible can effect two people differently, from your previous experience/tolerance to simply how your body reacts to THC or CBD (how high you get or how much it takes to relieve medical symptoms like pain).

Please be aware there is a difference between CDB oil and Hemp oil. CBD needs some, even less than 1% THC, to work. It is called the Entourage Effect. If a product has zero THC, it’s hemp oil. Learn the difference between CBD and Hemp oil (CBD with zero THC)

Choosing a Strain: Indica vs Sativa vs Hybrid

There are different strains to choose from which will typically give you different effects. These are all anecdotal and typical as cannabis can effect people differently. It is a great starting point to see what works best for you.

Indica

  • Relaxing effect (indica-in da couch)
  • Body High
  • Increase Appitite
  • Help Sleep
  • Good for night time

Sativa

  • Alert
  • Head High
  • Happy & Euphoric
  • Energetic
  • Creative
  • Good for day time

Hybrid

  • A balance of the two
  • Combination of mind and body effects

Be Cautious and Aware

If you are on the newer to eating/making cannabis edibles be aware with how much you consume. Eating cannabis will have a longer lasting effect than smoking or vaping. If you aren’t feeling comfortable with the state you are in there are a couple things you can do to lessen the effect.

  • Eat an orange, drink orange juice.
  • Drink water
  • Sniff or chew black pepper (we are unaware of any scientific reasoning, but people to swear it works)
  • Go for a walk or find a quiet place and do breathing exercise
