Decarb (Decarboxylation)
Making edible with raw cannabis will not have much of an effect. To get the most out of your edibles, the THC and CBD must be activated into doing their job through a process called decarboxylation.
Terpenes start to break down at 310 degrees Fahrenheit. The best temperature to decarb your weed then, is right around 225 degrees Fahrenheit.
Instructions to Decarb your Cannabis
- Preheat your oven to 225 degrees Fahrenheit.
- If you have trim or shake place it on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. If you have dried bud, break up your dried bud into small pieces first. Be sure to remove any stems in the process.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes. Move and flip every 10 minutes so it cooks evenly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool. The cannabis will be light brown, dry and crumbly, when it’s done.
Now you have decarb and are ready to make edibles
